We were honored to be photographed by John Michael Cooper of Alt F Photography.  He is incredible!  Here is the picture he took of our family for his “Roadside Portraits - Pay It Forward” Campaign.  I stole this from his blog!!!  Be sure to check out his blog for some funny images and video from their road trip/very Alt F Tour across the country.  You might even see Mike and I in action in a few!  Edward will be posting some images he took of our session with John soon! 

On Thursday, Mike and ReJana were able to attend the Very Alt F Tour in Dallas.  We had a great time meeting some photographers we had never met and learning some new tricks from the one and only…..John Michael Cooper and Dalisa Cooper.  John is the photographer who started the whole “trash the dress” idea many years ago.  However, his sessions are called “Anti-Bridals.”  Check out his site for some awesome work.  www.altf.com.  Here are a few of our images from the seminar.  You’ll even see him at work!Check back in a few days as we were also chosen to participate in his Pay It Forward Campaign which is where he is photographing about 30 families across the US (other photographers family) in a pay if forward.  We can’t wait to see our family portrait!

Vahista and Charlie had a fabulous wedding at the Renaissance Worthington Hotel in Fort Worth.  Their wedding was outdoors on a side balcony and the reception was inside the ballroom.  They had a ton of friends and family and everyone had a great time.  Be sure to check out the grooms cake…it was way cool!  Vahista’s Dad put together the FUNNIEST video presentation we have ever seen at a wedding.  It was completely filmed and edited (with voice overs and all) and it was Vahista’s dog talking about her growing up, getting married, etc.  Truly one of the greatest things we have ever seen at a wedding.  Way to go Dad!  Vahista and Charlie, we had a great time with you and your families!

Erin and Adrian’s wedding is getting so close!  They are getting married at Oak Lawn United Methodist….which is one of our favorite churches to shoot in!  We can’t wait.  We understand there will be good tequila and lot’s of partying going on at their reception!!  We are looking forward to the fun!  Here are a few of our favs….stay tuned for Erin’s AWESOME bridals.  She looked fab! 

We’ve been teasing with these two that they are our big destination wedding for the year!  We went all the way to Texarkana for their wedding!  We had a ball and these two were all smiles on their big day.  They saw each other before the ceremony….which is always fun to capture and had an awesome classic car as their get-away vehicle.  It’s the same car that Emily’s grandparents used on their big day!  There were so many awesome details, they did a fabulous job planning this wedding.  Good luck Emily on those Pharmacy Boards!!!

Our family (Mike, ReJana and Macie) was chosen to participate in a pay it forward by being photographed by an awesome photographer name John Michael Cooper.  You can check out his work at www.altf.com.  We are very honored and can’t wait for our session next week.  The theme is “Roadside Family Portraits.”  The idea is for a photographer to shoot another photographers family and then for that photographer to do the same for another photographers family and so on…..if it all goes according to plan, in a year or so, another photographer should be taking our family photo again.  So, as part of our agreement, we are excited to offer the same session to another photographers family!  If you are a photographer (or if you know one and can pass this on) send us an email with 1.) why you would like to be photographed, 2.) who all is in your family, and 3.) when was the last time you had a family portrait made.  We can’t wait to hear your responses!  info@bludoorstudios.com We will post the results of our own session next week!!!   

Meet Marie and Ian!  We didn’t get to spend as much time with these two leading up to the wedding as we usually do because they are living in Boston…..but had their wedding here in Dallas!  The day of the wedding we truly felt like old friends, their friends and family were so warm and friendly and ready to party!  Between the ceremony and reception, we stopped by Plano High School (where they went to school) and took a pic in the breezeway where they met (between bldg. A and B.)  Look for the image with the A in it : )  We then stopped in Deep Ellum for some fun shots of the bridal party.  We LOVE it when our couples schedule time for these types of images….they are so much fun to shoot and the results are awesome!  

We had a ball working with Jacqueline Hickey Wedding Planner at the Melrose Hotel!  She and her staff were amazing!  Seth Hoisington with Dallas Rhythms kept the party hopping ALL NIGHT!  Notice the last photo, it was like a dance club!  Thanks Seth….great job as usual!!  Marie and Ian….thanks for letting us be a part of your day and your family!  We had a great time……now you need to come back to Texas!!!!

You’ve all seen little Miss Sydney…..well she just keeps getting bigger and bigger!  Her Mom (Dianthe) is one of the fabulous Wedding Coordinators we work with and is also one of our past brides!  You may also know her from KISS FM.  These two make our jobs very easy : )  Here are few to enjoy! 

Meet David and Vanessa….these two were married in a beautiful outdoor ceremony at Stonebriar Country Club.  We enjoyed working with Reagan, the coordinator there, and one of our future brides!  David and Vanessa had a lot of “surprises” during their reception that turned out to be a huge blast.  Here are a few of our favorite images from their big day.

Meet Baby A….and her mama and grandma!  She came into this world two weeks before she came into our studio!  She was a doll and is already quite comfy in front of the camera!!!
